The Story Behind the Silks
Her Story
Some horses capture hearts because of what they achieve on the track. Others become symbols of something far greater. For Pride of Jenni, her story is about much more than racing β it is a story of love, remembrance, and an enduring legacy.
Pride of Jenni carries the name and colours chosen in honour of Jennifer Ottobre, lovingly known as Jenni. Jennifer passed away in 2015 following a courageous battle with brain cancer. In the face of unimaginable loss, her family chose to celebrate her life by ensuring that her spirit and memory would continue to shine.
The striking sky blue and purple diamonds worn by Pride of Jenni were chosen as a tribute to Jenni, as they were her favourite colours. They have since become synonymous with the Ottobre family's racing colours. Every horse to race in the Ottobre stable now carries these colours, ensuring that Jenni's legacy lives on each time they step onto the track.
For owner Tony Ottobre, racing has become more than a sport β it has become a way to honour his daughter and keep her memory alive. Through every triumph, every challenge, and every moment in between, Pride of Jenni has carried not only silks, but a story that resonates with so many people.
Pride of Jenni's fearless racing style, determination, and heart have inspired thousands of fans around Australia and around the world. To many supporters, she represents resilience, courage, and the unbreakable bond of family.
This website exists not only to celebrate an extraordinary racehorse, but also to acknowledge the beautiful legacy behind her name. Every victory, every cheer from the crowd, and every fan who follows her journey helps ensure that Jenni's memory continues to live on.
